Two of Cups

Upright — the true meeting, two made more

Venus moves through Cancer today, and water learns to answer water. Something in you leans toward another — a gaze held a beat past habit, a name that arrives before you summon it, a door that opens because someone stood on the other side, waiting. This is the hour of the true meeting: not conquest, not merger, but two vessels tilted toward one another until each holds more than it did alone. The cost is exposure. To be met, you must be seen unarmored, and the tide that carries closer can also carry away. Offer the cup anyway. Let your hands be steady, and unguarded.

Reversed — the mismatch, harmony performed

Venus swims in Cancer today, tender and tidal, but the two cups do not pour evenly — one tilts toward the other and waits. Something in your orbit asks you to perform warmth you do not yet feel, to smile in the shape of agreement. Notice the ache of that. The gift here is honesty about the gap: mismatch named is mismatch survivable, and the water you withhold is water still yours. The cost is loneliness for an afternoon, the loss of an easy pretense. Cancer's moon-ruled heart would rather retreat than falsify. Let retreat be a door, not a wall — and tend your own cup first.
