Queen of Pentacles

Upright — the suit mastered inward, held for others
Earth today is not the ground beneath you but the ground you become for others. The Queen sits at the slow end of the element — soil that has learned patience, that holds root and stone and seed without complaint. Something in your keeping wants tending: a body, a room, a person who has not eaten. You may find your hands know the work before your mind agrees to it. The gift is that warmth gathers where you sit. The cost is that warmth is drawn from somewhere, and tonight you may feel the withdrawal. Feed the one who feeds. That is also husbandry.
Reversed — the gift turned inward and souring
Earth turns her attention inward today, and the hands that tend everything find themselves holding only their own weight. There is a hollowness that comes from giving until the giving is habit — the garden watered while the gardener goes dry. This is the other road: not abundance withheld from the world, but abundance you have forgotten to claim. The cost is that self-tending can sour into self-guarding if you let the door close behind you. The gift is honest reckoning — what nourishes you, named at last. Feed yourself as carefully as you feed them. Earth keeps its own roots watered first.
