Judgement

Upright — the call up from the grave, the reckoning answered

Pluto moves slow and deep, and today its long pressure surfaces as a sound you recognize — your own name, spoken from somewhere beneath the floor of you. The trumpet in this card is not punishment. It is an invitation to stand up out of a version of yourself you have been lying still inside. Something asks to be answered today, plainly, without the old defenses arranged around it. The gift is the lightness that follows a thing finally said aloud. The cost is that you cannot un-rise; what you acknowledge now will not lie back down quietly. Answer anyway, and let the ground close behind you.

Reversed — the call ignored, old verdicts replayed

The horn sounds today at a frequency only you can hear, and you have learned to sleep through it. Pluto works the slow underside of things, dissolving what refuses to be named, and something in you keeps rehearsing an old verdict — a sentence handed down years ago by a court that has since disbanded. The gift of this door is privacy: no one demands your rising yet, and the reckoning stays yours to shape. The cost is the weight of carrying an unopened summons. You need not answer everything at once. Read the charge aloud, even to an empty room, and hear how little it still fits.
