Ten of Swords

Upright — the pinned dawn, the worst arrived and over

Ten blades and behind them, light. The Sun stands in Gemini today, the sign of two voices, and one of yours has finished speaking — the story you kept telling about how this might still go differently. Something has already ended, and the ending is not ahead of you but behind. That is the gift: nothing further can fall from this particular sky. The cost is the honesty it asks. You may not dress this in maybe. Lie flat awhile if you must; the ground holds. Then notice the horizon has gone pale at its eastern edge, without asking your permission, without needing your strength.

Reversed — the slow rising after the end

The blades are still there in the field behind you, but the hand that held them has let go. Sun in Gemini scatters light into two minds at once: one still lying in the old wound, one already sitting up, testing the air. Today you may find you can carry both without choosing. The gift is that nothing worse is coming from that direction — the story has spent itself. The cost is patience, which is not a virtue today but a labor; rising takes longer than falling, and no one applauds it. Speak the ending plainly, even to yourself. Then move one limb.
