Upright — the suit mastered outward, rule earned
Fire that has learned its own name burns in you today — no longer the wildfire, but the beacon set on the headland, tended, aimed, seen from far water. The sky offers you the steady combustion of a flame that knows what it is for. Speak the plan aloud; others may warm themselves at it. This is rule earned, not seized, and it asks its price: the beacon cannot wander, cannot go looking for its own horizon while others steer by it. Something of your restlessness stays behind today, banked into heat. What you gain is trust. What you spend is the freedom to be small.
Reversed — the ruler serving the crown, not the realm
Fire that once warmed the hall now guards its own throne. Today the flame in you may burn for the shape of command rather than the thing commanded — the title, the last word, the room turning toward you. Notice it without shame; every ruler has stood at this mirror. The other road opens where you set the crown down and ask what the realm actually needs, which is rarely another decree. The gift is heat still yours, undimmed. The cost is the pause — stepping back from a certainty you have already announced. Fire obeys no one, but it can be turned outward, toward the cold edges of the camp.
