Venus

Attraction, taste, what you find worth wanting

The magnet. Venus is what draws you and what you draw — in people, in rooms, in objects, in money. It is also how you receive: whether love has to be earned, given proof, or simply allowed in.

Overdone, it is appetite dressed as aesthetics, and peace kept at the cost of truth.

The story — Aphrodite, who makes nothing optional

Aphrodite came out of the sea foam full-grown, and where she stepped, grass grew. The gods, who feared almost nothing, feared her a little: she owned a woven belt that made anyone desirable, and even Zeus obeyed his wants when she arranged them. Given a golden apple inscribed 'to the fairest,' three goddesses fought over it — and her promise of one beautiful thing started the Trojan War. That is Venus in a chart: attraction as a force of nature — what you find beautiful is not a preference, it is a current, and it moves armies.
