Mars

Drive, anger, the cut that separates yes from no

The blade. Mars is how you go after what you want and what you do when something stands in the way. A working Mars is not aggression — it is the clean ability to start, to refuse, and to defend without apology.

Overdone, everything is a fight; underdone, the anger goes inward and rusts.

The story — Ares, who goes in first

Ares was not the clever god of war — that was Athena, all strategy and clean hands. Ares was the charge itself: the noise, the nerve, the body that runs toward what everyone else runs from. The other gods kept him at arm's length, and Homer has Zeus call him the most hateful of his children — yet when the walls are breached, no one asks for the strategist. That is Mars in a chart: the part with no talent for diplomacy and no need of it — the raw yes and the raw no, indispensable exactly when things stop being polite.
