Saturn
Structure, time, the fee reality charges
The auditor. Saturn marks where life demands the full apprenticeship — where nothing is given early and everything earned holds. What it touches matures late and lasts long. The tradition calls it the greater malefic; the grown-up reading calls it the spine.
Overdone, discipline curdles into fear wearing a suit — the no said before the question.
The story — Kronos, who keeps the time
Kronos ruled the Golden Age — the ordered, plentiful world — and held it by one terrible discipline: told that a child of his would overthrow him, he swallowed each one at birth. The stone he was tricked into swallowing instead freed Zeus, and time toppled the god of time. The Greeks bound his name to chronos, time itself, and the old astrologers made him the Greater Malefic — the slow teacher. That is Saturn in a chart: structure, consequence, the harvest that arrives exactly on schedule — and the warning inside the story, that what you refuse to release will one day stand in front of you, grown.
