Scorpio

Fixed water · ruled by Pluto — Mars in the old reckoning

The depth charge. Scorpio is intensity with a purpose — the refusal of the surface, loyalty to the death, the truth wanted whatever it costs. What carries it in your chart bonds completely or not at all.

The cost is the grip and the grudge: control where trust was wanted, and a long memory for wounds.

The story — The scorpion that ended Orion

Orion was the greatest hunter alive, and said so — he boasted he would kill every animal on earth. The earth answered with the smallest thing in the story: a scorpion. All his strength and all his fame found no purchase against it, and the sting ended him. The gods set both in the sky on opposite sides, so that Orion still sets as the Scorpion rises, running forever. That is Scorpio: the concentrated power of what does not announce itself — the depth that answers arrogance, patient, precise, and impossible to outlast.
