Number 3
the voice
Expression is the whole engine. A 3 metabolizes experience by saying it — in words, in color, in performance — and often finds out what it thinks only after it has said it aloud. There is real gift here and a real scattering: the same appetite that makes it prolific makes it hard to finish.
Performance offered where presence was what was asked for.
At its best
- The thing said in a way people actually remember
- Delight that is genuinely contagious
- Recovery — it does not stay down long
At its cost
- Depth quietly traded for range
- Charm used to route around the harder conversation
- Many beginnings, considerably fewer endings
