Terms of the observatory
Last updated October 1, 2026. Using Celestial means agreeing to these.
Counsel, not professional advice
The celestials are AI characters. Their counsel — however sharp it sounds — is insight and perspective, not legal, medical, financial, tax, or mental-health advice, and no professional relationship of any kind is created by using this product. AI-generated counsel can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken. The decisions you make remain yours: final consent always stays with you, and you agree not to treat any Judgment as a substitute for a qualified professional when the stakes call for one. The chart, the cards, and the numbers are reflection, not prediction — self-insight, not a clinical or psychological assessment.
Who may sit
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Celestial only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms for you and is responsible for your use, including any membership bought. You are responsible for what you bring to the Council and for anything done under links you hold — hall invites and share links.
Conduct toward others
In the Cosmos, in the lines left under the same weather, and in the open sky: no hate slurs, no harassment or threats, no doxxing, no spam or link-flooding, no illegal content, no impersonation. We may remove content and restrict access to protect the observatory. A Judgment you share by link, with the takes and chat beneath it, runs on its readers' own norms, as a private hall does, but illegal content is banned everywhere. Content you share stays yours; you grant us the license needed to host it and show it where you shared it, which is the entire point of sharing it.
The service, as it stands
Celestial is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. It is a young product in active construction: features may change, pause, or retire, and the shared observatory rate-limits itself when busy. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the past twelve months. Some jurisdictions limit these limitations, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
What we keep from a sitting
When you cast a chart you accept that the Council's sittings are kept: the question, the sky it was read against (birth date, time and place; the name you entered for yourself is not added), what each seat said, and the Judgment, stored on our own database to teach the Council. You may turn this off at any time in Settings, under “Let the Council learn from my sittings”, or by writing to the keeper; either way what we hold under your identifier is deleted. Nothing kept this way is sold, shown to other users, or provided to any provider for that provider's own model training.
The membership
Celestial sells a membership on the web, through Stripe, and in the iPhone application, through Apple's App Store; it sells nothing inside the Android application. A monthly or yearly membership renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you joined, until you cancel; the Founding membership is yearly and renews at the renewal price shown on the membership page. A trial, where one is offered, converts to a paid membership at its end unless canceled before then. A trial is offered once per person: a membership taken again after one has been used begins, and is charged, on the day it is taken.
Each membership holds a monthly count of each kind of sitting, shown beside the price before you pay. The counts refresh each month on the anniversary of the day your paid membership began — a yearly membership's every month too, on that same day: New Moon, 4 Full Skies, 15 Calls, 25 Snaps and 15 Clashes; Full Moon, 8 Full Skies, 40 Calls, 50 Snaps and 30 Clashes; and Celestial, 12 Full Skies, 75 Calls, 75 Snaps and 45 Clashes. A 7-day trial includes a starter allowance for the membership chosen — New Moon, 3 Full Skies, 5 Calls, 7 Snaps and 4 Clashes; Full Moon, 4 Full Skies, 10 Calls, 13 Snaps and 8 Clashes; and Celestial, 5 Full Skies, 19 Calls, 19 Snaps and 12 Clashes — counted on its own and never against the first paid month; the first full monthly allowance begins with the first payment. Every reading — the day, the week, the month, the year and its Path, the Timeline, tomorrow tonight — is free for everyone and is not part of any membership. A Snap is one sign (and each follow-up), a Call two to four seats, a Full Sky any larger table; a Brief or a Commission counts as two Snaps, and a push-back as one of its own sitting's kind. A count that is spent pauses that kind of sitting until it refreshes; everything already made stays readable.
Every membership also includes the Season One Tarot Deck; Full Moon adds the Season One premium themes; and Celestial includes every tarot deck and every premium theme, including those released while you are subscribed, unless a release says otherwise. What a membership includes is yours while it is active and ends with it; anything bought on its own stays yours after a membership ends.
The complimentary sessions. Without a membership, a signed-in account whose email address is confirmed may convene five complimentary Council sessions, free, as its introduction — one shared count, whatever the depth of the Council, while that day's complimentary sessions last. A session is one new question that the Council answers; the follow-ups the Council allows about the same question are included, and a session that fails is not counted. They are a one-time allowance, not a recurring one: they do not renew or expire, signing in again, anywhere, does not restore one, and a membership taken, renewed, changed or ended does not grant them again; any still unused are kept, and a member's own monthly allowance is used before them. A push-back, a brief, a commission and any further question belong to the membership. The complimentary sessions may be paused or withdrawn at any time; what has been granted to an account is not taken back.
Fair use. A membership is for one person's own use, and so are the free sittings: opening accounts to take more than one allowance is a misuse of the Service. The Service's general rate limits apply to every membership.
Card entry and storage are Stripe's: we never receive the card number or security code. When a purchase is refunded, Stripe's notice to us includes the card's brand, last four digits and expiry, which we do not read or keep.
You may cancel a membership bought on the web at any time from the billing page (Settings → Membership → the billing door, which is Stripe's portal); canceling stops the next charge and the membership runs to the end of the period already paid for. Deleting your account sets such a membership to end at that date too — the account's, and one held by the device you delete from; if one cannot be set to end just then, the account is not deleted and you are told so. Prices may change; a change reaches you only at your next renewal and only after we have told you.
A membership bought in the iPhone application is billed by Apple, and Apple's terms govern its payment, renewal and refunds: you change or cancel it in your Apple Account's subscriptions (in the application, Manage in the App Store on the Membership page), and canceling at least 24 hours before a period ends stops the next renewal. Deleting your account does not end it; cancel it with Apple.
Payments are not refunded for a period already begun, except where the law of your country requires it, where a purchased reading is refunded under its own stated terms, or where we choose to. A year's reading bought outright is yours for that edition whether or not a membership continues. Statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected.
From time to time we give a membership away — by an invitation code, as a year with thanks, as a gift among friends, or at a reduced price — and we may attach a title of thanks to such a gift. A gift membership and any title that comes with it are gestures of gratitude only: they confer no ownership, equity, revenue share, seat, employment, agency, or say in Celestial or its makers, may be withdrawn at our discretion, and end on any date shown on the membership page. A gift among friends has no end date and may rise to a higher tier as the number of paying members grows; it lasts only for as long as we keep it. We may change or remove friends-and-family terms, gifts and discounts at any time — including the tier a gift holds, how and when it rises, and whether it continues — and a friends-and-family price may be changed or withdrawn at any time, including for a membership already running, which then renews at its full price.
Housekeeping
Celestial is operated by Pixelated Skies LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and of the United States. We may update these terms; continued use after a posted change is acceptance. If a clause is held unenforceable, the rest stand. Questions to the keeper: askcelestial.astro@gmail.com.
